Developed for ease of operation and transfection directly in cell culture, the Cellaxess®CX System overcomes the challenges associated with the transfection of tissue explants and adherent cells. Neuronal tissue slices and primary neuronal cultures can finally be efficiently transfected with excellent viability.

The Cellaxess®CX System comes in two models; the CX1, a one-channel system for direct transfection in tissue slices and selected cell regions in cultures; and the CX3, a three channel system for transfection in 96-well plates or Petri dishes.

The Cellaxess CX1 System

The Cellaxess CX1 System is designed to integrate with most inverted microscopes on the market. The system enables specific targeting of parts of a cell culture and is based on manual positioning of the electroporation head (single channel electroporation head) close to a cell culture using a micromanipulator. Because the cells are under visual inspection during and after the electroporation procedure, the CX1 System gives superior experimental control and allows for very accurate monitoring of the cellular response to electroporation.

The Cellaxess CX1 System comes complete with all necessary equipment for running the experiments, and includes the CX1 Electroporation head, CX1 Safety Box for installation on inverted microscopes, CX1 Micromanipulator for positioning of the electrode, Cellaxess Pulse generator, Cellaxess Pump Unit, and Cellaxess Commander Software.

The Cellaxess CX3 System

The CX3 System is designed for high efficiency and user friendliness. The system is capable of electroporating 3 separate wells in a 96-well plate in parallel. When used in 35 mm cell culture dishes, the CX3 Cellectroporator (three channel electroporation head) will simultaneously electroporate 3 discrete regions in the dish.

The CX3 System comes complete with all necessary equipment for running the experiments, and includes the CX3 Electroporation head, CX3 Safety Box, Cellaxess Pulse Generator, Cellaxess Pump Unit, and Cellaxess Commander Software.
